How Core works

Ether.fi Cash pairs a self-custody account with a Visa card. Direct Pay spends supported assets, while Borrow mode uses eligible collateral. Borrowing introduces liquidation risk, so a card purchase funded through borrowing needs more attention than a prepaid balance.

Rewards and costs

Core has no membership fee and includes one virtual card. The physical card costs $60 including shipping. Rewards are paid in ETHFI and step down with monthly spending; EUR purchases have their own thresholds. The headline rate is not a flat return on all spending.

Who should consider it

Core suits people who want self-custody and understand how supported assets and collateral work. Check country and state eligibility before applying, and review the FX terms for the currencies you plan to spend.
