RedotPay payments: Apple Pay, Google Pay and declined checkout

Set up RedotPay for online or wallet payments, understand Apple Pay card upgrades, and check balance, payment priority and limits after a decline.

Direct answer

A card added to a wallet still needs funds, compatible settings and merchant acceptance.

Use an active, funded RedotPay card for online checkout or add an eligible card to Apple Pay or Google Pay. Wallet support depends on your card, account and device region. If a payment fails, check the available balance including fees, payment priority, card status and spending limits before retrying.

Pay online or at a shop

Enter your active card details at an online checkout, or use an eligible linked wallet. For a shop payment, use a supported mobile wallet or the physical card. CCB recommends checking the merchant’s billing currency and keeping room in your balance for fees.

Add the card to Apple Wallet

RedotPay’s published flow starts in Card: select the card, choose Add to Apple Wallet and complete the prompts. Wait for the confirmation before attempting a wallet payment.

Existing cards may need an Apple Pay upgrade

If the app prompts an upgrade, complete it before linking. RedotPay describes this as a free update that can replace your card number, CVV and expiry; update saved subscriptions afterwards. The issuer’s guidance specifies app v3.0.1 or later, an active card and compatible Apple Pay region and device security settings.

Troubleshoot a declined payment

  1. Check that the available balance covers the purchase and transaction fees.
  2. Review Payment Settings and payment priority for a currency with enough balance.
  3. Check the card’s per-transaction limit and active status.
  4. Review any in-app security or verification notice.
  5. If another merchant works, ask the original merchant about its checkout restrictions; contact RedotPay support if the issue continues.
Common questions

RedotPay FAQ

Does RedotPay support Apple Pay and Google Pay?

RedotPay lists both as payment options. Actual linking depends on card eligibility, account status, device and region; check the app’s available flow.

Why is my RedotPay payment declined with money in the account?

The balance may not cover fees, the selected payment currency may be unfunded, or a card limit or merchant restriction may block checkout. Check those settings and any account notices.

Will an Apple Pay upgrade change my saved card details?

RedotPay says the upgrade provides a new card number, CVV and expiry. Update card details saved with merchants and subscriptions after upgrading.
